- How to join?

There are now three ways of joining the Minileague.

If you say that you want to join at the  bottom of the Minileague then all you have to do is contact the Organiser and your name should appear at the bottom of the Minileague at the start of the next playing period.

If you are an established squash player and you would prefer to join the Minileague at the appropriate level for your ability you will need to play, and win, at least one challenge game against a player in the Current Minileague Listing. You will need to organise your own challenge game: choose a player, make your challenge and inform the organiser if you win. Your name should then appear one place above that player when the next Minileague is published.

You may make more than one challenge, in which case your name will appear one place above the higher or highest placed of the challenges. You are advised to make your first challenge well before the end of the current period and to aim a little low. This avoids the problem of being beaten in your challenge match with no time left to organise another one and also gives you time to make another challenge at another level.

If you have already played in the Minileague and your name appears in a ranking list, your most recent ranking can be used to determine an appropriate level in the next Minileague. Your position on the most recent ranking list, when taken as a percentage of the number of players on that ranking list, is used to determine the appropriate level.

You can probably see how the different ways of joining work by looking at the Calculation page.
